Untouched nature of the mountain landscape, taiga, lakes, mountain rivers… All this is the greatness of the Sayany Nature Reserve! Its area is 250,000 sq. km, located in three regions at once: Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Tyva and Khakassia, although according to some sources it also captures Buryatia.<\/p>\n
There are two large nature reserves on the territory of Sayan: Sayano-Shushensky and Krasnoyarsk Pillars. The first one is located in the reservoir of the same name on the bank of the Yenisei, the second one is located, as the name implies, not far from Krasnoyarsk \u2013 both reserves have beautiful nature. In the Ergaki Nature Park there is an amazing Sleeping Ridge with a Hanging Stone, as well as Mount Brothers \u2013 a unique view. And there are also two famous volcanoes, Kropotkin and Peretolchin on the territory of Buryatia, several plateaus, Shushensky Bor and other attractions, including the world’s largest Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station.<\/p>\n
